NYFW: Venexiana FW 2011

If we had to sum up the Venexiana show in one word, it would be luxury. Kati Stern put on another amazing show at Lincoln Center Friday night. Danielle Staub from the Real Housewives of NJ and Ms. Jay from America’s Next Top Model were both front row. As the lights dimmed, classic violin music began to play as two circles of lights danced on the wall. The music grew more intensely then “bam” the lights collided into a blinding white light. Then the music turned into pounding punk with a harsh white light shining on the stage. It was time for the show to begin!

There were lots of jewel tones: purples, oranges, and greens. There were several gold sequin evening dresses. It was all about the one-shoulder and sashes. Of course, there were magnificent fur pieces. One look featured an oversized muff with two fox tails hanging out the side. It was pretty unique that she used such high-end fabrics and materials then paired them with JcPenney tights as well as Carlos by Carlos Santana shoes.

Everything was over the top even including the Napoleon Perdis lashes!

The audience gasped and applauded the two Swarovski crystal ivory silk wedding dresses that closed out the show.
