NYFW F/W 2011: Timo Weiland

So I just left Timo Weiland, the first presentation I got to luckily attend this fashion week.  I have never been, so it was quite exciting to see Timo’s work.

With a presentation of women and men mixed, and a great variety of textures and fabrics, I must say this collection was quite “exotic” for me.  With colors ranging from orange rust to electric blue, and then some, with black, white , camel and gray, it was interesting to say the least.

Nude and black suede pumps ruled the womens shoes for this collection, even though we did have some peach patent leather pumps pop in some color.  For the mens collection, camel coats and buttons galore ruled, as well as brown leather penny loafers.

I must say my favorite look was the fur cuffed sleeves, red cigarette pants, and purple top. Mmm, mmm, good!

  1. The management of NYFW need to start moderating who they allow to show because this collection is really quite cringeworthy. Where is the “design”? Its a bunch of other designers ideas cramped into a box tied with some cliche styling and labelled their own. Seriously? are we going to praise this? Why not call it out for what it is? Some honest critic can only benefit this designer who clearly needs to grow.
