Mascara made me do it::A girls guide to fab natural lashes
How many times have you seen mascara commercials and lusted for those long, full luxurious lashes only to be let down by the fact that the company simply used their mascara on some falsies? Well for me it’s happened one too many times.
Lash extensions are all the hype these days but what’s a girl to do if daily wear of “lashes” and the budget to keep up the maintenance for them doesn’t seem so appealing? No worries, below are a few steps and products you can use to achieve full lashes.
- Start with a Eye Lash curler: Curling the lashes will of course give them shape, this is an especially essential step for those with lashes that are straight. I really like using a heated lash curler (you use heat when curling your hair right?) and Sephora makes a great one that retails for just $12!
- Follow up with a eyelash primer to help the mascara stick to each lash and appear more full and thick. Urban Decay’s Eyelash Primer Potion contains Silk Protein that helps to thicken and condition the lashes so that they’re not becoming dry and brittle.
- As a final step choose your two favorite mascara’s (yes I said 2) and apply both to your top and bottom lashes. The two different formulas help to provide length and volume and certainly give the appearance of falsies.
I’m sure that you’ll love your lashes after trying these simple steps!
Until next time beauties,
