Lela Rose SS 2011

Lela Rose’s Spring/Summer RTW 2011 was inspired by previous wish list destination, Lima.  With the city’s coast full of vibrant culture and color, Lela Rose portrayed just that in her most recent collection.

With wedges with soles wrapped in raffia, braided rope necklaces and cotton wrap dresses, Lela Rose managed to make this collection calm and cool with a modern twist.  (Not to mention, shoes are available at Payless, I’m seriously heading to the site right now).  Adding geometric cutouts and layers, the collection is both tranquil, sheen, and feminine, and if possible, sporty to boot.

Colors ranged from grays and whites, to bright oranges and yellows; beautiful matte red lips and fish tail braids to one side.  Beach ready on the runway, Lela Rose manages to mix modern with sophisticated pieces and accessories in which this ready to wear collection can be dressed up or down, worn on the boardwalk or on the red carpet. Oh the possibilities.
