Anne Bowen’s Collection Of the Gods

What more can a lady want than a bridal gown that is fit for the Gods? The day we’ve been dreaming of since we were wee little ones, imagining up the perfect dress, that dress can sure be found in the ANNE BOWEN BRIDAL COLLECTION.  At the runway presentation on Sunday, October 17 at The Eventi Hotel, the inspiration came from the Welsh Goddesses. Being of Welsh descent, Anne Bowen titles her  collection ‘Of The Gods” to represent the ethereal quality of the gowns.

‘OF THE GODS’ collection was full of sheer fabrics with features of subtle shimmer.  Textures that fell effortlessly, with a lightness that seemed to fall from heaven. ”Layers upon layers of tulle, silk organza and silk satin chiffons speak to the celestial feeling Anne Bowen is trying to create. Welsh Goddess names like Tamara, Goddess of Rivers, Serona, Goddess of Healing and Don, Goddess of the Heavens exude the sheer lightness of the collection. The silhouettes become a abstract study of shape and texture creating the essence and image of a modern goddess.”

As for hair and makeup, Anne Bowen chose for the runway to feel dark, perfect for a dramatic eye of charred brown mixed with Tyrian Purple otherwise known as Imperial Purple and a soft, blush lip. Pitch from Warren Tricomi Salon created smooth, unfettered hair adding a modern glamour and bringing focus to eyes and skin.
