Alexander Wang SS 2011

Blinded by the light! Woah, Alexander Wang uses NO black whatsoever in his SS 2011 collection.  He said he was going for something optimistic, “something pure”.  Maybe he will turn our recession frowns upside down; and for a whole lot of us, he absolutely did.

Low plunging v-neck tops, flowy loose fitting garments, the collection is so far an elegant breeze. With neutral wedges and lace up pumps, Alexander Wang gets us ready for SS 2011. With bursts of gold subtly put onto pieces, the glam gives the coolness a bit of hot rush, very chic.

Pops of color began to come about on the runway a bit into the show.  Colors of mint green, warm yellow, metallic purple and silver, and rust orange; never the less, Wang pulls it all together with how he initially started, with the innocence of white and a finale of everything in between.
