RUNWAY REPORT: Tadashi Shoji Spring 2011 presentation
Spring 2011 presentation was ladylike, very much the perfect cocktail attire trimmed with metallic accents, lots of muted purples and browns, and elegant overlays of creamy lace. Pretty and prim, makeup was kept natural to match the soft, sensual, and modern nature of the clothing. For hair, Rodney Cutler, hairstylist for the presentation said, ‘The style is sort of like a bun a girl could do herself, but Tadashi wanted a little romantic feel in the front,” which resulted in a slightly undone, wavy effect. Tadashi Shoji’s dresses are known for being incredibly detailed and feminine, with this season as no exception. Makeup and hair stayed clean and minimal to compliment the ornate detailing found in the collection.
