RESORT 2012: 3.1 Phillip Lim

It’s been heating up with summer at it’s start, and there is nothing like a breezy relief of 3.1 Phillip Lim’s loose layers and relaxed silhouettes for his Resort 2012 collection.  With caftan fever, the designer added shape and chic to his collection by focusing strongly on the waist, adding drawstrings to jumpsuits and cropped parkas and paper-bag closures to tiny shorts.

Colors are cooler—sky blue, white, sand, mint, and cream—though bursts of hot poppy and marigold appear here and there, along with the beastly animal print, a touch to give this collection a walk on the wild side.
