Not only do we love a good menswear collection (boy models included, of course) but we sure love a front row seat!  There is nothing better than having the ability to see, front row, how the patterns work together, imagine the feel and texture of the material, and obviously, getting a first, up closes and personal view.

General Idea’s creative director Bumsuk Choi takes us back to that spirit with his collection of youthful, energetic and beach-inspired menswear for his eighth consecutive year in the fashion world.

Opening with projected cinematic shore-scene clips, neutral color territory was rounded off with black-and-white, navy, and hunter green, while shorts hovered an inch above the knee and clunky colorful boat shoes beat the runway floors.

Choi fearlessly combined stripes and plaid in forms of slouchy cable-knit sweaters, vests, and double-breasted blazers as French-script patched motorcycle jackets paved way for the headline piece – a fabulous aquamarine raincoat topped off with a standing Peter Pan collar.  This collection let us sit back and remember those carefree days on the beach, when salt or sand in your eyes were your only concern.
