Macy’s Previews Lagerfeld Line

Is it just me, or has Lagerfeld been on the hush hush lately?  Maybe it’s his new capsule collection that he’s been busy with but fortunately Macy’s previewed Karl Lagerfeld’s capsule collection at the Yellow Korner gallery in SoHo Wednesday night, displaying a host of refined dresses, chic airy tops, high collars on blouses and dresses, feminine shoulder treatments, colors juxtaposed with patterns, florals and turtleneck tops paired with tweed shorts. Among the most elegant pieces — a favorite of many, I must say, was a  tailored tuxedo dress with pin tucking. The collection sets a new bar for the store’s Impulse contemporary departments with prices that stay within the store’s “better zone”. The collection will be sold at 235 Macy’s locations beginning Aug. 31.  This month can’t end soon enough!
