Calvin Klein Collection Menswear Fall 2011
There was something very controlled about the collection Italo Zucchelli sent down the runway for the Calvin Klein Collection for menswear fall of 2011. With a buzzed haircut on the first model to exit, the collection immediately evoked a bootcamp, military-esque type of mood that was underlined by hard silhouettes.
Heavily featuring outerwear, the collection was one of discipline. The color palette was measured out over the collection, making sure to carefully introduce new colors before exploring it with a few shades, and then moving on to another.
As always, pieces were classic menswear. There were no dresses, or skirts, only trousers that while wide in the upper part of the leg tapered to a skinnier ankle and outerwear that ranged from a slim and sleek trench coat to a bold and imposing puffa jacket.
