Burberry Prorsum Menswear Pre-Fall 2011
Burberry Prorsum as a brand never strays too far from their heritage. Christopher Bailey makes sure that when there’s a Burberry item on the runway, in the boutiques, or being knocked off, it’s evident by it’s heavy Brittish base, and militaristic influences.
Pre-Fall is looking good for the Burberry Prorsum man. After a successful Fall 2010 season with the oversized shearling collar on the jacket, Bailey only promises us better things by pumping up the volume on the bag for this latest collection. With a color palette including blacks, browns, as well as all of their variations, Bailey accents the menswear with punches of orange. He even threw in a few tuxedos for the more dapper of the Prorsum gentlemen, which ends up making the collection span from a casual wear, by way of a simple t-shirt and cardigan, to eveningwear. The collection seems to deny the edgy collection that preceeded i, with it’s spikes and metallic accents, and does so probably to the joy of the Burberry man. After viewing this new collection starring Charlie France, we only anticipate good things come Fall showing, which happens to be just around the corner.
