BCBG MAX AZRIA FALL 2012
Designer’s Inspiration: The show notes at BCBG Max Azria cited the geometric abstraction of the Bauhaus, however, that didn’t seem to be half of what the inspiration may have been. We think there had to have been some ’70′s American sportswear inspiration in there…somewhere!
Colors, materials and shapes: With lots of belted trenches, wide-leg jersey trousers, and tons of amazing midi-length color-blocked and paneled dresses, either flaring with pleats or cut straight like a long T-shirt and slit up the sides, we adored the shapes and colors brought to life in this collection.
What we really loved: The luxurious layering of outerwear! Coats with leather and fur sleeves says it all. Insert a new trend — Fabric Blocking!
