Flowing materials, long(er) skirts and clean lines are all the rage for BCBG Max Azria’s Fall 2011 collection. Rich mustard yellow and flashes of bright reds and blues– a nice break from the classic muted pastels we normally see from BCBG– mixed with a tonal color palette that accentuated the structural designs of each piece. The contrast in the whispy materials accessorized with sculptural accessories created a new modern sophistication. Turtlenecks were styled with just about every piece which was a little more conservative than what I am used to for this brand. A new sheer black silk used for a floor length dress emphasizes a pair of slender legs or an elegant collarbone without baring too much for the winter months. All in all, a winning collection.
Favorite Piece: V-neck multi colored wrap dress with charcoal piping.
Celebs: The brand’s chic simplicity drew in the young Hollywood crowd– Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kelly Rowland (with her swanky new pixie cut), Maggie Rizer and Ashante all sat front row.
