NO TopShop Deals for Rihanna…at this time

Dinner dishing rumors had been set in stone ever since Rihanna had grabbed a bite with TopShop’s owner Sir Philip Green, Simon Cowell, Universal Music chief Lucian Grainge and friends at Sandy Lane in Barbados, causing some stir with speculation that she was set to be the Topshop tycoon’s next celebrity designer. But industry sources said the dinner was “purely social,” and that no fashion deal is in the works.

“A Topshop spokesman declined to comment.”, according to WWD. Earlier this year, Green said he was winding down his collaboration with Kate Moss, although the two will continue to work on capsule collections together.  So maybe its not such a”o-na-na”, after all, and one day, maybe we’ll be standing under Rihanna’s celeb designed umbrella, ella ella, eh eh?
